Description

Why choose ATC for your braille paper needs?

American Thermoform has been producing braille paper since 1988. Working with paper specialists and drawing on our experience as the parent company of Braillo Norway, we developed paper specifically for production and desktop braille embossers. Our paper is manufactured at a single paper mill to maintain consistent color, texture, and quality, then processed in-house.

American Thermoform offers braille paper in three formats: continuous, cut-sheet, and rolls.

See All Continuous Braille Paper Sizes and Pricing

Continuous braille paper, also known as tractor-feed or fanfold paper, is available in standard U.S. finished sizes of 8.5×11″ and 11×11.5″, measured after removing the tractor-feed edges. Choose plain sheets or 19-hole pre-punched sheets for binding. The binding holes are punched along the left-hand side for use with standard binding rings and are separate from the tractor-feed holes used by the embosser. Custom sizes and punch configurations are available for customers worldwide.

See All Cut-Sheet Braille Paper Sizes and Pricing

Cut-sheet braille paper is supplied as individual sheets in standard sizes of 8.5×11″, 11×11.5″, and A4. Plain, 3-hole, and 19-hole binding options are available for the 8.5×11″ and 11×11.5″ sizes. A4 is available in plain sheets. Custom sizes and configurations are available for customers worldwide.

Top things to consider when purchasing braille paper:

Quality of the paper: We offer acid-free, dust-free braille paper, manufactured at a single mill for consistent quality from one order to the next.

Weight of the paper: Paper that is too thin can cause holes in braille dots, while paper that is too thick may damage your embosser. Choose paper suitable for your equipment. Our standard braille paper is heavyweight, and thinner or thicker options are available upon request.

The finished product: Continuous paper requires clean tractor-feed holes and precise perforations for reliable feeding and separation. Where binding holes are selected, clean punching helps produce a neatly finished document. We package our paper to protect it during shipment.

Shipping & turnaround time: Standard continuous and cut-sheet sizes are kept in stock for fast fulfillment. Sheet paper is packed in specially designed, triple-walled cardboard boxes. Available shipping options are shown on the individual product pages. Free Matter for the Blind shipping is available for eligible orders. Contact us for roll freight quotes, international orders, and turnaround times for custom requirements.

Custom options: We can accommodate custom sheet sizes, colors, punch configurations, and paper thicknesses, as well as paper rolls in any width. Contact us to discuss your equipment and project requirements.
